DIY Seam ripper cover

I stepped on my plastic seam ripper cap the other day. Shoot! I googled how to make one but- no results! I made mine using duct tape- it's really simple and turned out pretty good.

DIY Seam ripper cover
Level:
Supplies
  • 6 inch. of duct for a standard size seam ripper
  • Needle & heavy duty thread

  1. Cut 6 inch of duct tape and fold it in half hot dog style.
  2. Now fold it in half hamburger style and sew sides 1, 2, and 3 with an overcast stitch. (refer to diagram 1)
  3. I wrote "Did you make a mistake?" on mine with a blue sharpie. When you reach to pull it out, at least you get a little laugh.
