DIY Vintage Button Wineglass Charms

Hey! Here's a quickie on how to make wine charms from shank buttons- my mom needed some more, so I came up with this cute idea.
Difficulty: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Supplies:
  • 20 gauge wire (or something similar to 20 G)
  • ruler
  • shank buttons- (the ones with the loop on the back)
  • pliers, wire cutters
Cut a piece of 20 gauge wire to 4 inches or so.
Fold it in half with pliers.
Feed it through the shank loop in the back and curve the ends up with pliers.
Wrap it around the bottom of the glass and. . . There you have it!
I love this Las Vegas charm.
And this Coco Chanel inspired one.
Don't forget a cute little heart!

DIY Stenciled Shorts

I think these shorts are fashionable anytime. You can use whatever stencil and color you want on the shorts! Or make stripes with tape!
Difficulty: ♥ ♥  ♥ ♥
You will need:
  • stencil (or you could make your own from cardboard)
  • painter's blue tape
  • fabric paints
  • cardboard
  • old jeans or shorts (that fit you in the waist and hips)
  • foam paintbrush or any large paintbrush

Cut your jeans to the desired length plus 1 inch.
Grab a cool stencil.
Tape your stencil onto the shorts and insert cardboard in between the layers of denim.
Paint inside the stencil, peel the stencil off, and wipe it clean.
Repeat previous steps all over the denim.
Pretty Pretty!
Don't like stars? Try polka dots, hearts, triangles, flowers or stripes with blue tape.

DIY Fourth of July Nail Art

Learn a simple technique to paint your nails for Independence Day!
Difficulty: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
You will need:
  • red, white and blue nail polishes
  • clear top coat
  • scotch tape
  • black nail art pen/brush
Paint your nails red, white, and blue in an alternating pattern.
I'm not the best at painting nails :D Make sure you let them dry properly.
Use a black nail art pen to write USA or July. But I put USA so it will work for the 2012 Olympics. Let the ink dry and paint a clear top coat.
Paint a color of nail polish (that is not the color on your thumb nail) onto the non-sticky side of the scotch tape.  Let dry, paint a top coat, and let that dry.
Cut the tape off and try to create a star. Take your time because this is frustrating!
Stick on a dry thumb nail and finish it off with a top coat.
Make sure each nail has a top coat. I hope you liked this easy Independence day/Olympics (USA) nail art!!!
