Spring Craft Ideas

Create place cards for your Easter guests from colored note cards and a festive stamp.

I made vegetable sushi for the first time! It was actually somewhat easy :) Practice, practice, practice!

To make a watercolor egg:
1) Lay a hard boiled egg on a napkin or in a container
2) Drizzle the egg dye over the egg with a fork or another object of some sort
3) Let dry, peel & eat!

Happy Spring!!!

DIY Vintage Button Wineglass Charms

Hey! Here's a quickie on how to make wine charms from shank buttons- my mom needed some more, so I came up with this cute idea.
Difficulty: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Supplies:
  • 20 gauge wire (or something similar to 20 G)
  • ruler
  • shank buttons- (the ones with the loop on the back)
  • pliers, wire cutters
Cut a piece of 20 gauge wire to 4 inches or so.
Fold it in half with pliers.
Feed it through the shank loop in the back and curve the ends up with pliers.
Wrap it around the bottom of the glass and. . . There you have it!
I love this Las Vegas charm.
And this Coco Chanel inspired one.
Don't forget a cute little heart!

Level:
Supplies:
  • embroidery thread/floss
  • clipboard
Here are directions from www.michaels.com

  1. Select 4 colors of floss 25" long. Tie a knot around 1½" from the top and tape to table.
  2. Separate floss by color and imagine the floss as A,B,C and D.
  3. Hold string B straight and knot string A around it.
  4. Pull string A toward the left and tighten it.
  5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to get a double knot.
  6. Make double knots with string A around each of the remaining strings (C and D).
  7. Now you are in the second row, tie a double knot with string B around C, D and A individually.
  8. Keep repeating this pattern until bracelet reaches desired length.
  9. Tie knot to secure all strings and trim both ends to about 1¼" long.
